Our Challenge

When we started working with Mr James, he already had a busy practice and whilst he had employed a Medical Secretary to support him, the workload was overwhelming and additional help was needed. Our Designated Medical PA Chloe initially helped clear the backlog of actions including a build-up of emails, appointment requests and surgery bookings. There was also an accumulation of letters that had been typed but needed to be uploaded into the relevant patient records.

A second Designated Medical PA Hannah joined the team to take on more responsibility for the management of work at The Royal Marsden, although their in-house PA still supports by finalising bookings on the internal hospital systems. Particularly with The Royal Marsden Hospital it has been extremely important to build a good rapport with the hospital staff, in all departments, to ensure the smooth running of the practice as many of the bookings for outpatient appointments and surgery are finalised by the inhouse team.

Our Results

Mr James has been delighted with the service we have provided for him and his patients. He values the support provided by both his Designated Medical PA’s, Chloe and Hannah and is very positive about the contribution they have both made to his practice. The growth in his practice has been significant, with outpatient clinics booked several weeks in advance and surgery lists booked two to three months in advance.  Mr James works full time in his private practice.

One of the most significant changes has been moving the practice from DGL Practice Manager to Semble. Mr James has found Semble extremely helpful and useful to his practice as he can access his diary and patient notes on his mobile phone, making the practice more efficient and secure. Before using Semble, the Medical PA would send patient notes for each consultation by email to Mr James as he was unable to login to DGL from many of the locations he worked at.
